FISHING RULES FOR GROOBY’S PIT
EVERYONE MUST HAVE A VALID LICENCE TO FISH
- From 7am until 9pm (unless dusk is before).
- All fish are to be returned to the lake.
- Landing nets, unhooking mats, weighing slings etc MUST be dipped & rinsed before entry.
- Keep Nets are NOT allowed.
- Maximum hook size is regular 10.
- Barbless hooks only (NO MICRO BARBED).
- No live or dead baiting (with other fish).
- No Braid.
- No Leaders.
- Never leave a rod unattended. But do not ask someone else to watch your rod(s).
- Cat & Dog Meat or Nuts are NOT to be used as bait.
- All fish must be netted, no swinging in of fish.
- Maximum 2 rods per person.
- NO cloth/Towel to go anywhere near a fish.
- Please be careful with our fish when taking out the hooks.
- Unhooking mats MUST BE USED.
- Please return fish to the water ASAP especially in hot weather.
- Carry the fish back down the steps IN the net & put the net into the water to release the fish.
- If taking photos please KNEEL with the fish over your mat (have your camera ready).
