My name is Neil and together with my wife Tracy, have bought “Grooby’s Pit” after living in France for 10 Years.
After renovating numerous French properties, eating alot of French cuisine & drinking too many bottles of French wine, we have returned to the UK to start a new life here in Lincolnshire.
We are very proud of our caravan park that we have started from nothing, which is exclusive to adults only. We enjoy welcoming new & returning guests that enjoy the tranquillity and wildlife around us. All of our pitches are now hard standing pitches with their own tap. The heated toilet and shower block is cleaned daily to an impeccable standard, which we have had many positive comments about. We also have an outdoor washing up area.
New for 2017 is the Nursery lake, stocked with carp, tench & Golden Orfe. We have also created another peninsular on the main lake so guests can walk down & fish off (easier for the guests who have trouble with steps, or for those that wish to fish together).
Sat on its own private peninsular with 2 private fishing pegs is our Camping Pod that guests can rent for a spot of Glamorous Camping. Perfectly positioned on the water. Guests staying in the Camping Pod also benefit from using the new high spec toilet/shower pod (Key holders only – shared only with the Seasonal customers) positioned just a few steps away with it’s outdoor washing up area.
We have had a lot of positive feed back and we try to make sure all our customers have an enjoyable stay with us. For those of you that don’t fish, don’t worry just sit back & relax. Enjoy the wonderful wildlife that Grooby’s Pit has to offer. From the King Fishers to the owls.
From researching the internet & after speaking to the locals we discovered “Grooby’s Pit” fishing lake, has an excellent reputation for fishing, due its variety of fish. Especially for the Bream. As well as building a new house, we have created 30 new individual, private, fishing pegs, so you can enjoy your fishing in natural peaceful surroundings. The lake has also been restocked and is full of Bream, Carp, Perch, Rudd, Tench, Roach, Barbel, Pike, Skimmers & even Eels.
Our motto is “Nothing is a problem”. We look forward to welcoming you too.
Hope to see you soon,
Neil & Tracy Murten
